Dog Training 
The Kinnamon Dog Obedience Club classes start 6:30 p.m. March 16 and 23 in the Office Depot parking lot on West Granada Boulevard, Ormond Beach. Cost is $60 for six weeks. For more information or to register, call 386-673-4635.
Celebrating speed
The city of Ormond Beach will have its Birthplace of Speed event March 16 beginning at 2 p.m. with a parade of antique vehicles from the Cardinal Drive ramp to the Harvard Drive ramp. From 3 to 6 p.m. there will be a reception, food, entertainment and the car show at The Casements, 25 Riverside Drive. Admission is free. For more information, call 386-676-3241.
Rummage Sale 
Union Congregational United Church of Christ, 1050 Daytona Ave., Holly Hill, annual rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 19 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 20. There will be refreshments for sale. For more information, call 386-253-1323.
Research your roots
The Volusia Count Genealogical Society will meet at 6 p.m. March 18 at City Island Library, 105 E. Magnolia Ave. Cherie Brumfield will speak about "Finding Elusive Civil War Ancestors." For more information, call 386-322-4206
Spring expo
The Pilot Club of the Halifax Area -Free mini home show from 1 to 4 p.m. March 20 in Adams Hall at Central Baptist Church, 142 Fairview Ave., Daytona Beach. The rummage sale will include music, refreshments and activities for children. For more information, call 386-453-6070.
Flea market
Wilbur Boathouse will have its 29th annual flea market and bake sale at 4200 S. Peninsula Drive from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 19 and 20. Contributions for the sale will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 17 and 18. Proceeds benefit local charities.
Scenic bus tour
A scenic historical bus tour will be at 9:45 a.m. March 20 by the Ormond Beach Historical Society. The two-hour tour is led by a tour guide. Tickets can be purchased at the Welcome Center, 38 E. Granada Blvd., or by phone. For more information or reservations, call 386-677-7005
Babysitting classes
Port Orange Fire and Rescue will offer a babysitting course from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 26 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 4675 S. Clyde Morris Blvd. Cost is $30 and includes course materials, babysitting/pediatric CPR certification cards, snacks, drinks, and lunch. Students must be at least 11 years old. Teens stage musical
Atlantic High School's Stageworks Theatre Company will present "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," a musical by William Finn and Rachel Sheinkin, March 11-13. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. for all performances in the Atlantic High School theater. For more information, call 386-322-6100

The Polish American Pulaski Club's dinner/dance schedule for March is:

Jewelry sale
The Bert Fish Medical Center Auxiliary will have an "All that Glitters" jewelry and handbag sale from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. today in the Schildecker Lobby at the hospital, 401 Palmetto St., New Smyrna Beach.
Exhibit seeks truth
The "Search After Truth" opening, featuring the work of art professors Jack King and Anthony Schepis, will be at the Ormond Memorial Art Museum March 12 to April 19. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. $2 suggested donation. For more information, call 386-676-3347.
Lifestyle expo
There will be a Senior Lifestyle Expo from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 13 at Equity Lifestyle Properties, 155 Spring Drive, Port Orange. St. Patrick's party
The city of Daytona Beach Shores will have its 5th annual "Luck of the Irish" celebration from 5 to 8 p.m. March 14 at the Shores Resort and Spa, 2637 S. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach Shores. Forum for poets
